A custom Linea Mini created exclusively for Rains, bringing together the Danish brand’s minimalist design language and Officine Fratelli Bambi’s craftsmanship.

The collaboration with Rains, launched last week, featured a custom Linea Mini made exclusively for Rains. The design was aimed at integrating seamlessly into the brand’s showrooms. Drawing inspiration from Rains’ distinctive approach to minimalism and materiality, the design process began by exploring where the Rains x La Marzocco Linea Mini would be used, defining its most essential characteristics inside their flagship stores.
Brushed stainless steel, found throughout Rains stores, became the project’s starting point. The team developed several initial designs and progressively refined them, resulting in a creation that preserves textured surfaces, contrasting details, and handcrafted materials. The Rains logo appears in its simplest form.
The final design features a hand-finished brushed stainless steel body that captures light and creates subtle reflections, giving the machine’s surface an almost velvety appearance. Against this finish, natural anodized aluminum details stand out, including the legs, portafilter handle, paddle, and knobs.
The Rains logo remains discreet on the photo-etched stainless steel nameplates, while taking a more prominent role on the knob inserts, where black enamel meets polished steel.
The cup rail, also crafted from brushed stainless steel, draws inspiration from one of the distinctive circle patterns found in Rains showrooms’ metal shelving.
Through its understated simplicity, the Rains x La Marzocco Linea Mini expresses a unique identity while showcasing the craftsmanship and artisanal expertise that define Officine Fratelli Bambi.
